PreachingHelp.org On July 20, 2009, Kim and I celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary. As a gift to me, Kim made arrangements for me to go on a trip to Israel! Wow! I couldn’t believe it. I’ve always wanted to go on a trip to Israel, but really never thought I’d do it. Too many excuses. But, just a couple weeks ago, I returned home from this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Having been on this trip, I now think that everyone who is capable, especially preachers, should make this trip. I can’t begin to explain how much perspective was gained by being able to see things with my own eyes. I learned that the mental images I had in my “mind’s eye” were often incorrect, and now I have a much better understanding and perspective of many biblical events and places.

I will never be able to express my gratitude in your asking me to go with you to Israel. Without your contact and encouragement chances are I never would have made the trip. The trip has allowed me to wrap my arms around the bible and better comprehend the scriptures. Thanks Steve! You have had a significant impact on my life.
