West Virginia Christian’s Tribute to My Dad

Posted on November 4, 2013

WVC - Dad (1639 x 2022)I want to do two things in this post.  First, I want to thank Albert Farley and the West Virginia Christian magazine for dedicating an issue of their paper as a tribute to my dad.  Dad spent his entire life preaching in West Virginia.  He loved the state and the people living there.

Brother Albert Farley has been publishing West Virginia Christian at least since the year 2000, maybe before. Not only did dad write for this publication, but he frequently spoke on their annual lectureship.  One of the things that upset Dad just days before his death was the fact that he didn’t feel well enough to deliver his lecture at Pennsboro.

The second thing I wanted to do was just share some of the thoughts that were written by some of Dad’s friends and family.  Albert gave me permission to share several of the articles from this latest issue.

(For those of you who would like to receive this publication, you can go to West Virginia Christian Magazine to learn more.  At this site there are archives of the magazine as well as the manuscripts from most of the past lectureships).

If you would like to read the articles pertaining to my dad, just click on the viewer below.
