It Could Have Been Worse

The story is told about a man who
opened a new business, so his best friend send him a floral
arrangement to celebrate the event. A couple days later, the
man dropped by his friend's new business and read the card on
the flowers he send. The card said, "Rest in Peace."
Upset by the mistake, this man
called to complain to the florist. However, the florist quickly
replied, "It could have been worse. Somewhere in this city is
an arrangement in a cemetery with a card that reads,
'Congratulations on your new location.'"
I guess it's true that things can
always be worse. We would do well to look for the good, and be
thankful, even during those times when we're upset and things
aren't going our way. In fact, I'm sure that if we did what the
song says, "Count your blessings, name them one by one..." our
outlook on life would change dramatically!
Give it some thought.
