About Us
Our Declaration of
Independence

The quotation to the left is part
of the Declaration of Independence that was written over 225 years
ago. As we celebrate our freedoms this Independence Day, I would
like for us to take a moment and look beyond the American
Revolution and look to the freedoms secured for us by Jesus.
Fifty-six of our founding fathers
signed the Declaration of Independence, thus openly renouncing
their former ties to England and declaring and embracing freedom
as a new nation.
Much like the declaration of our
founding fathers, we too, have made a public declaration when we
obeyed the gospel. Renouncing sin, we publicly should be
declaring and embracing the freedom that is ours in Christ.
If you have been freed from the
weight of sin; if you have been freed from slavery and subjection
to Satan; if you have been freed from the curse of sin; then
declare it! Declare it publicly. Don't be ashamed. Have the
courage of our founding fathers to put your reputation and life on
the line by declaring your faith in Christ.
"Let the redeemed of the Lord say
so" (Psalm 107:2)
