“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
Here’s a challenge: Let’s stop trying to justify what is unjustifiable, and justify God’s standard for purity. Let’s stop trying to defend what is indefensible, and start defending God’s high and holy calling.
Let’s stop rationalizing being entertained by watching and listening to that which is unholy. And rather, let us spend our time an energy in defense of God and the holiness to which he calls us. What do you say?
I say Amen!!!
I agree…It’s hard to come up with a better word than “AMEN” !!!!!!!!!!!!
I say, “preach it!”
That just about snookers watching TV, sports, listening to the radio, or driving with our eyes open. It is very difficult to be in the world but not of it; especially when we live in such an immoral generation.
Of course this is true. But, who’s trying to defend pornographic dancing? Not anyone I know.
Sara, you run in good circles.
